Illustrator and graphic designer from Madrid (Spain). I am a passionate fan of video games, comics and fantastic films. I have not stopped enjoying video games since I began to play on a ZX Spectrum until I made this hobby my profession. I found my inspiration to became illustrator in the game's covers made by Luis Royo and Azpiri during the 80's.
I always shown a huge creativity and great skills in drawing. Admiring so much the fabulous artworks of Sorayama, I decided to learn the art of airbrushing. In 1996 I joined the C-10 academy where I learned all the secrets of this discipline by the master Carlos Diez with which I strike up a big friendship. After finishing my degree at the academy I specialized in pin-up's illustration, publishing in 1997 my first work for the Kiss Comix magazine. The following years I carried on doing illustrations for magazine covers like Eros Comix & Wet Comix.
Due to my creative versatility, I have worked as a graphic designer and layout artist for many publishing houses like La factoria de ideas, Dolmen Editorial and Progresa. I also have worked nine years in the videogame industry as illustrator and graphic designer for the spanish PC videogames publisher FX Interactive. I designed and illustrated a lot of games covers like Death to Spies, New York Crimes, Real Warfare or the Men of War saga.
Now I am freelance and also work as degree professor at U-TAD university.
In 2006, thanks to my extensive experience in video games and my skills as a graphic designer and illustrator, I became part of the editorial team of FX Interactive where for 9 years I would be responsible for numerous tasks such as the conceptual design and illustration of covers, the layout of manuals, covers, maps, guides and extras (both in physical and digital formats) and the creation, modification and localization of graphics and textures within the games. As an additional responsibility, I was part of the games evaluation committee, where new titles were searched and evaluated to be added to the launch catalog. This was one of the activities that I liked the most, and during those years I searched, analyzed, presented and defended games that later became part of the FX catalog and that were very successful like Emergency 4, Jack Keane, Death to Spies, Blood Bowl, Drakensang or Deponia.
Since I started working as a freelancer in 2002, I have designed and layout a multitude of books about superheroes, comic authors, film directors, TV series and videogames, all exclusively for the spanish publishing house Dolmen Editorial. I always have complete creative freedom to design from scratch the books.
Thanks to the knowledge I have about these themes and to my great liking to them, I have been able to work on different projects, giving a unique and special personality to each one of them.
