RetroPixel 2025

In 2025, I once again had the honor of creating the illustration for the RetroPixel 2025 poster, the retro computing and video game fair that took place on April 5th and 6th in the hall of the Faculty of Law at the University of Málaga.

This edition celebrated the 40th anniversary of the Sega Master System, the 25th anniversary of the PlayStation 2, and a special tribute to the Commodore brand. To reflect these milestones, I designed the background and typography to match the covers of Master System games. For the main illustration, I paid tribute to the cover of God of War on PlayStation 2, but with a fun twist: Kratos sports a look more in tune with the cheerful gang from "Retro Entre Amigos", meaning more hair below the nose than above. As a nod to Commodore, Kratos wields a joystick in one hand and a flaming Commodore 64 in the other, referencing the legendary "heat" these computers were known for.

As every year, the event was organized by the Asociación Lúdico Técnica de Aficionados a la Informática Retro (ALTAIR), also known for their popular podcast Retro Entre Amigos. RetroPixel is a cultural and charitable event, free of charge and open to the whole family, offering a wide range of activities, from retro gaming competitions to talks by industry experts and workshops for kids.

En 2025, volví a tener el honor de realizar la ilustración para el cartel de RetroPixel 2025, la feria de retroinformática y videojuegos que tuvo lugar los días 5 y 6 de abril en el hall de la Facultad de Derecho de la Universidad de Málaga.

En esta edición, el evento celebró el 40 aniversario de la Sega Master System, el 25 aniversario de la PlayStation 2 y un homenaje especial a la marca Commodore. Para plasmar estas efemérides, por un lado definí el el fondo y las tipografías igual que las de las carátulas de los juegos de Master System y para la ilustración principal hice un homenaje a la portada de God of War de PlayStation 2, pero con un giro divertido: Kratos luce un look más acorde con la alegre pandilla de "Retro Entre Amigos", es decir, con más pelo debajo de la nariz que encima. Como guiño a la marca Commodore, Kratos blande en una mano un joystick y en la otra un Commodore 64 en llamas, una referencia al mítico "calor" que generaban estos ordenadores.

El evento, como cada año, está organizado por la Asociación Lúdico Técnica de Aficionados a la Informática Retro (ALTAIR), también conocidos por su popular podcast Retro Entre Amigos. RetroPixel es una actividad cultural y solidaria orientada para toda la familia y completamente gratuita que ofrece una amplia variedad de actividades para todos los asistentes, desde competiciones de juegos retro hasta charlas de expertos en la industria de los videojuegos y talleres para niños.
